The Township of North Huron is notifying residents that all mail to and from may be interrupted due to the potential mail strike. Please be advised that residents are still responsible for paying all bills by the due date.

Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) |
The Township offers two preauthorized payment plans for utility billing and property tax bills. Due date plan: The amount due is automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the due date. (This is offered for property taxes and utility bills) Monthly plan (For Property Taxes Only): A predetermined fixed monthly amount is withdrawn from your bank account on the 15th day of each month, or closest business day there after (Property Taxes – January – December) Sign up forms |

North Huron is pleased to announce that it will now accept payment by VISA or MasterCard Credit or Debit card for select municipal bills/services. Through OptionPay, our third-party payment processor, for a nominal processing fee you can make card payment through our website using the the link below, on your smart phone by scanning the QR Code, via phone to the finance group and in our municipal office. Link: https://payment.optionpay.ca/the-corporation-of-the-township-of-north-huron/index.php All processing fees are charged by OptionPay and are not received by the Municipality. Utilizing OptionPay enables our Municipality to keep our overall payment acceptance processing costs down yet provide for individual residents to utilize their credit/debit card for payment of municipal bills/services. Currently the following bill types for our Municipality can be paid through OptionPay:
All payments will be received by the Municipality within 48 business hours, so please be sure to allow for this processing time when making your payment. Also ensure to know your daily and/or transaction processing limit when making credit card payments. Credit card Rewards are earned on entire purchase, including fees. For optimal performance please use Google Chrome or Firefox web browser when accessing OptionPay.

Telephone/Internet Banking |
You can pay through your financial institution by selecting the vendor “North Huron Township - Taxes” or “North Huron Township - Water” For Property Taxes use your 19- digit property roll number as your account number. Use as many digits as your financial institution allows. You may have to leave off the last 4 zeros. For Utility bills use your 10- digit account number. To enter, omit first zero and enter last 9 digits only. |
By Mail |
Please use alternative payment options during potential postal strike. You can mail cheques made payable to the “Township of North Huron” to the municipal office at: Township of North Huron P.O. Box 90, Wingham, ON,. N0G 2W0 Allow sufficient time for the payment to reach the municipal office on or before the due date to avoid late payment charges. Please include your payment stub. |

Drop Box |
You may place payments in the drop box located at the front door of the municipal office outside of business hours. Municipal office is located at 274 Josephine St. Wingham. |
Post-Dated Cheques |
We accept post-dated cheques dated for the due dates. Please include the payment stub with your cheque. |
Local Banks |
Payments can be made at your local bank or trust company during their normal office hours. |
