The Township of North Huron hosted a Job Fair for the regional employers and job seekers on Tuesday, September 09th, 2025, 3:00 to 7:00 PM, at Wingham Columbus Centre, 99 Kerr Dr, Wingham, ON N0G 2W0.

Sponsored By: Huron County and Four County Labour Market Planning Board.

Partnered by: Huron County, Four County Labour Market Planning Board (Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth), Huron Chamber of Commerce, Huron Manufacturing Association, Agilec, Fanshawe College Huron/Bruce Regional Sites, and Avon Maitland District School Board, Education Centre.

Attendance and participation in the North Huron Job Fair 2025 was completely FREE. It aimed to connect talented individuals with diverse opportunities across various sectors in our community. We invited companies from Huron County, Bruce County, and Perth County from all sectors.

This session is going to be hosted in partnership with Libro Credit Union Wingham as part of the Township's ongoing Economic Development initiative. Based on the feedback from our recent business survey, the township identified this topic as a key area of interest and support.

Join us for a hands-on, two hour workshop designed to help small business owners to gain confidence with their numbers and plan ahead with clarity.

The Leland and Thora Vance Fund - Recreation Stream

About the Fund

The Leland and Thora Vance Fund - Recreation Grants is a grant making program to provide and maintain recreational facilities to enhance the quality of life for the general population of Wingham, now and into the future.

Proposals are invited from organizations providing a public space for broad participation in community recreation activities including; sports, fitness, outdoor education, playgrounds, and trails.

Grant Overview

The types of organizations that can apply for funding include:

• Registered charitable organizations.

• Qualified donees recognized by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

• Not-for-Profit organizations through a partnership with a fiscal partner. (This partnership allows WRCF to provide the fiscal partner with the funding on your behalf. If you plan to partner this way, they would be your organization’s “fiscal partner” for this funding. If you want more information about how this works – contact us, we can help. The Fund's total amount available is approximately $95,000.

Funding must be used between November 1, 2022 and October 31, 2023 for expenses incurred over the same period.

Community Futures Huron

About Community Futures Huron (CFH)

CFH is a non-profit Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) that works in partnership with Industry Canada to "helping Entrepreneurs Make Their Futures in Huron County Since 1993". This goal is achieved by providing management counselling, business loans, and support for community projects that strengthen the local economy.

Every year, we at Community Futures Huron (CFH) help new businesses get off the ground. Key emerging business opportunities include agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, tourism, retail services, and the creative economy.
