A watermain break has occurred on George Street in Wingham. George Street, between Josephine Street and Martha Street is closed. Residents in the area may experience low water pressure and rusty water (please flush taps until it runs clear). Repairs are in progress.

Beginning June 10, properties within a designated radius of the Wingham Standpipe will receive a home visit or information pamphlet at their door from OZA Inspections Ltd. This company will be conducting inspections of properties (after the resident has scheduled it), to verify existing building conditions. Completion of these inspections are important, in the unlikely event that issues arise during demolition or construction of the standpipe. Further information will be mailed to the impacted properties in the coming days.
