Behavioural Inclusion Day Camp Leader – Seasonal Full-Time
The Township of North Huron Recreation Department is currently seeking to fill the following seasonal
position to support summer day camp activities:
BEHAVIOURAL INCLUSION DAY CAMP LEADER
Reporting to the Summer Day Camp Supervisor, the Behavioural Inclusion Day Camp Leader supports the
inclusion of children with special needs by providing attentive supervision and fostering a safe, healthy,
and supportive camp environment. The role plans and implements inclusive strategies to ensure the safe
supervision of camp participants with special needs. Provides individualized, one-on-one support within
a group setting to promote participation and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience leading and interaction with children and youth of various ages is an asset.
- Secondary School Diploma, with current post-secondary enrollment in program relating to
children and youth with special needs. - Experience in the organization and implementation of activities for children and youth of various
ages is an asset. - Current First- Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Valid/ Current Vulnerable Sector Check required.
Rate of Pay: Band 2, $18.28 to $23.22 per hour
Hours of Work: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, in July and August
This is a seasonal position.

Instructor Lifeguards (2) - Summer 2026 (Part-Time Seasonal)
The Township of North Huron Recreation Department is seeking up to two (2) positive, team oriented, professional individuals to join our Aquatics team and support the summer aquatics programming at the Wescast Community Complex Pool.
Duties include: Planning, implementing, and delivering swimming lessons, providing safe and enjoyable drop-in aquatic programs, and maintaining proper pool records in accordance with Ontario Health Regulations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current National Lifeguard, LSS Swim Instructors, and Standard First Aid with CPR C & AED.
- Availability to work in June, July, and August.
- Experience planning and conducting LSS Swim Program, guarding busy recreational swims, and working with adults, children and youth of various ages and abilities.
- Valid/Current Vulnerable Sector check required.
- One (1) years' experience as an Assistant Instructor Lifeguard.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Rate of Pay: Band 3 ($18.28 – 23.22 per hour).
Hours of Work: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week (there are a variety of shifts available including daytime, evening and weekend).

Joint Facilities Operator (blended role) – Full-Time
The Township of North Huron is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Joint Facilities Operator II to provide
support to the Facilities Team in Wingham from September to March, and the Public Works Team in Blyth
from April to August.
Under the direction of the Facilities Lead Hand and Public Works Lead Hand, the Joint Facilities Operator
II provides maintenance, operational and custodial services to the municipal recreational facilities within
North Huron. This position also performance parks maintenance service for then municipal parklands
within North Huron.
The ideal candidate will have:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Working knowledge of basic building construction and maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration.
Basic Refrigeration Certification required.
Certification or willingness to become certified as a Certified Ice Technician required;
Two ( 2) years’ experience in recreation parks and facilities.
Two ( 2) years’ experience with refrigeration equipment.
Certification or willingness to become certified for Working at Heights, First Aid and CPR with AED, and Smart Serve.
Ability to deal with the public with diplomacy and tact.
Able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
Ability to regularly lift 25 kg.
Valid driver’ s license.
Rate of Pay: Band 5, $26.01 - $ 35.12
Hours of Work: Full-Time, 40 Hours per week, availability to work evenings, weekends and statutory
holidays as required.

Roads Operator Perm. Full-Time
The Township of North Huron is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Roads Operator to assist with the
operations of the Public Works Department.
The Roads Operator is responsible for performing a variety of public works related tasks in both rural and
urban settings within the Township of North Huron. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, repair
and maintenance of municipal roads, sidewalks, parking lots, culverts, storm and sanitary sewer systems,
water collection systems, and other designated Municipal infrastructure within the Township of North
Huron.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid class D driver’ s license with Z endorsement.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Heavy Machinery certification or equivalent experience considered an asset.
- Previous working experience and knowledge in construction practices.
- Ontario Good Roads training considered an asset.
- Experience and knowledge in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate a snow plow, road grader, other heavy equipment, power tools, and
hand tools safely and efficiently.
Rate of Pay: Band 5, $26.01 - $35.12
Hours of Work: Full-Time, 40 Hours per week, availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, in
addition to sharing on-call duties.
