The Township of North Huron is committed to supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs by providing accessible resources, financial support, responsive service, and programs that encourage growth, expansion, and long- term success. We offer a range of workshops and training opportunities designed to help local businesses strengthen skills, enhance operations, and support long-term growth. 

This year, the Township of North Huron is organizing a business workshop in partnership with Community Futures Huron for local businesses on Monday, August 24, at Lower Hall at the Blyth Memorial Community Hall, Blyth, ON. This business workshop is free to attend. 

Adapt, Innovative, Grow Business Workshop - This engaging and interactive workshop is designed to help local businesses navigate today's rapidly changing business environment. Participants will gain valuable insights into evolving customer expectations, emerging market trends, and workforce challenges while connecting with fellow business owners. Through collaborative discussions, local success stories, and practical exercises, you'll discover strategies to help your business adapt to change, embrace innovation, and position itself for long-term growth.

The Township offers financial incentives, including grants, development charge relief, and tax increment rebates, to attract investors, support private property owners, and local businesses. These programs are designed to revitalize commercial areas, improve aging building stock, enhance downtown streetscapes, and encourage private sector investment aligned with community priorities.

We provide comprehensive support to new businesses choosing the Township of North Huron as their home. This includes a New Business Welcome Guide that offers relevant information, key contacts, and guidance on local processes. We also organize and celebrate ribbon-cutting ceremonies to formally welcome new businesses into the community, bringing together municipal representatives and community partners to mark the occasion.

North Huron Job Fair 2026 

The Township of North Huron hosted a Job Fair in partnership with Huron County and the Four County Labour Market Planning Board on Tuesday, September 08th, 2026, 3:00 to 7:00 PM, at Wingham Columbus Centre, 99 Kerr Dr, Wingham, ON N0G 2W0.

This event brought together job seekers with local and regional employers, created valuable opportunities to explore careers, build professional connections, and learn about employment opportunities across a variety of sectors.

Attendance and participation in the North Huron Job Fair was completely free for both job seekers and employers.
