By-law Enforcement
By-law Enforcement
The Municipal By-Law Enforcement Officer investigates concerns such as noise complaints, property standards issues, untidy yards, littering/dumping, tall grass, parking and other matters concerning the Township of North Huron By-laws.
How to File a Written Complaint
If you notice an issue or by-law infraction in and around the community, please submit a complaint form. You will be required to include your name and phone number or email address so a staff member can contact you to follow up on your concern.
To assist in the processing of by-law infractions efficiently, the minimum information we require completed is the address or intersecting street and town of the property for inspection. Any additional information you can provide such as a first and/or last name of the property owner is helpful but not essential.
Completed complaint forms can also be submitted to the Clerk’s Department through one of the following methods:
- By email to complaints@northhuron.ca;
- In person at the Municipal Office at 274 Josephine Street, Wingham, ON N0G 2W0; or
- By regular mail to P.O. Box 90, 274 Josephine Street, Wingham, ON N0G 2W0.
Hard copies of the complaint form are also available at the Municipal Office.
