We understand residents of North Huron have many questions regarding the upcoming changes to garbage collection. We are awaiting further information before we can complete a public roll-out.

When we have information to share, those details will be posted to the North Huron website and social media accounts, as well as various public locations within the community.

A public open house regarding this transition is currently being coordinated.

Wingham & Blyth organic collections will occur on Tuesday, May 19^th. All materials must be placed curbside in proper paper organic yard waste bags before 7:00 AM on collection day. Bags must not exceed 45 lbs. In addition to curbside collection, leaves and yard waste may also be dropped off free of charge at Wingham Depot (441 Josephine Street, Wingham), Blyth Depot (177 North Street, Blyth), and North Huron Landfill (39601 Reid Road) during regular operating hours.

Beginning Thursday, May 7, 2026, and continuing for two to three weeks, maintenance gravel is being applied to rural roads in the Township of North Huron. Please be cautious of the increase in heavy truck traffic on our roads.
